In December 2008 a meeting took place at a centre city location and there a new committee was appointed under the leadership of the new chairperson Paddy Rooney. The committee decide on the name which was accepted by all and is Trojans Youth & Community Group. Raymond Carton was elected in the position of vice-chairperson, Thomas Coyle became the secretary and Clare Wright took on the role of treasurer. Other elected members were Gerard Bradley, Paul Glackin and Liam Quigley. Kity Wright is the Trojans YCG President.
EARLY DAYS

Trojans were founded by Edmund Carton in 1938, having read the name in a book Edmund felt it was a ggod name for a new football body despite many objections from local community at the time.
RELAUNCH OF THE CLUB

After Edmund's passing many felt that Trojans would cease to exsist but, son Raymond had other ideas. In recogisation of the work achieved by his father Raymond relaunched the club and entered teams into the local youth league.
